Bulbine frutescens (Bulbinella)

The original development of the BulbAloe product range was the brain-child of a pharmacist and homoeopath.

Knowing that the Bulbine frutescens (Bulbinella) plant had been used traditionally for centuries, he began research and development of the Bulbine frutescens (Bulbinella) plant for over two years. A method of stabilising the gel after extraction was developed which enabled the medicinal values of the plant to be incorporated in various products and still retain it's efficacy.

At this stage stage of development Aloe ferox, Vitamin E, and Rosmarin extract were incorporated into the formulation to further enhance the beneficial effects.

The resultant formula is most effective for any condition where there is BURNING, ITCHING, IRRITATION AND INFLAMMATION.

Further research led to the development of other products. These include BulbAloe Pain Relief Cream and Lotion, BulbAloe Foot and Heel Cream and BulbAloe Nappy Cream

The hand and body lotion was formulated based on the BulbAloe Cream formula for use on larger areas of the body.

As regular toilet soaps can irritate certain skin conditions, a herbal soap containing both Bulbine frutescens and Aloe ferox has been added to the range. This soap is not perfumed and is of vegetable (not animal) ingredients.

In development at this stage is a range of SKIN CARE products as well as a new range of soaps, and a scalp lotion.

The research and development department is constantly looking at, and experimenting with various ideas to incorporate into the product range.
