People in the Cape and Karoo have traditionally used the sap of
Bulbine (Bulbinella) frutescens which is an indigenous medicinal plant,
with excellent healing properties, to treat various skin complaints.
It has a jelly like sap which can be applied to the skin.
This sap has been incorporated together with Aloe gel,
Vitamin E and Rosmarin extract in cream and lotion form
to make it readily available for public use.
